An easy, flat bike tour along the Adige River all the way to Merano – perfect for anyone who wants to relax, enjoy the scenery, and treat themselves to an ice cream in the spa town.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

In the morning, charge your eBike and drive to Bolzano. The best place to park is near the Mendelhof – that’s where the cycle path along the Adige starts.

From there, follow the well-signposted bike path upstream toward Merano. The route takes you through orchards and small villages and offers lovely views of the surrounding mountains. Once in Merano, a break with a good ice cream or a stroll through the old town is highly recommended.

For the way back, you have two options: ride your bike again if you're feeling sporty – or take the train for a more relaxed return. Important: Don’t forget your South Tyrol Mobilcard! Please note: the bike is not included in the train ticket – if returning with your bike, you’ll need to buy a separate ticket.
